Game Prep: Traveller, 4.16 (Part 2)

Last week, I had to cancel the game due to sickness and, based on what’s playing out right now, we’re only going to have about 3 players (plus the GM) this Saturday. If we hadn’t missed the previous two sessions, I’d be tempted to call this one a bye but I really don’t want to do that (unless I have to) so … what to do?

What I’m thinking is to borrow something the previous GM did with session 3.09 and have the 3 active players run Scouts who are actively looking for the vargr corsair that went to ground. I could (and likely would) even begin in media res with the scouts having already been hit and ambushed by the vargr. I even have these soldier’s stats already in the FG system from adventure 2 when Sae was going to do the combat assault against the dropships and all of the other PCs were going to play the soldiers … though those were only about 150 pts, I think. Should these guys be higher than that? I’m currently thinking no, though I probably will tweak their disads.

The stats I have in mind are:
