I fairly recently picked up the below book for a really decent price and was rather pleased (for the most part) with it. Mu Virginis, for example, where Elysium takes place is smack dab in the middle of the Romulan war front and Zeta Reticuli where Acheron occurs is also on the border. My only complaint is that Romulus is too close to Earth, so I'm arbitrarily moving it much deeper inside Romulan territory.
The Delphic Expanse is presumed to be between Sol/Alpha Centauri/Tau Ceti and Romulus/Remus (ch'Rihan) - replace the "Bassen Rift" area and have the Expanse move into the Alpha Quadrant, and it all works out nicely. I still have no idea how Enterprise managed to get to the Klingon homeworld in Broken Bow, especially in under 4 days. I'll use the warp highway excuse, and go so far as to say that stellar winds caused that "highway" to go away by the time of TOS. Yeah. That's the ticket.
